You’ll be able to Direct the light -- Dim the light – and even “Turn it off!”
Dear friend,
It sounded impossible to me. I’ve been in the lamp business for ten years and was skeptical when my Rabbi, Rav Shmuel came up to me one morning after minyan and said he had invented a bedside lamp for his wife… and it could be controlled on Shabbos according to Halacha.
But when he showed me the prototype kosher lamp I was amazed at its brilliance. It’s one of those simple ideas that when you hear it you’ll say, “why didn’t I think of that!”
I asked him immediately for one of the lamps for myself, but he said he had a backlog. All his kids wanted one and he couldn’t make them fast enough!
Rav Shmuel had checked through the seforim and then asked the Rosh Kollel and a few other prominent local Rabbis and received a unanimous psak of “Kasher.” That’s when we registered the concept with the patent office. Now we’re excited to share it with you.
“A shade which is made to direct the light or to cover it up altogether may be adjusted on Shabbath, even if it is made in such a way that it forms part of the lamp.”
Shemirath Shabbath Kehilchathah 13:41b

WANT TO READ IN BED FRIDAY NIGHT?
If your family is anything like mine, there are probably times you or someone in your family would like to read in bed Friday night just before you go to sleep.
But how do you do it? Using a timer is impossible. If you thought you were going to go to sleep early, the timer flicks the lights off just at the best part of the book.
Then there’s also the chance that you won’t feel like reading after all and you’ll be kept awake for an hour before the timer finally clicks the lamp off.
In frustration you may leave a closet light on which is almost impossible to read from, and you have to get out of bed to close the closet door when you are finished reading.

CAN’T GET THE KIDS TO BED?
Do your kids ever refuse to go to bed and fall asleep on the sofa simply because they want to finish reading “just one more chapter?”
Perfect to put one in each room when kids have different bed times. My daughter will be thrilled.

WOULDN’T YOU LIKE TO READ TO YOUR KIDS IN BED FRIDAY NIGHT AND THEN SAY SHEMA WITH THEM?
It’s hard to get them to settle into bed. Often, reading to the little ones is what does the trick, but if you read to them on the couch in the living room, you have to carry them to bed when they fall asleep.
With a kosher lamp in the baby’s room I can find things in her dresser drawer and then turn “off” the light again so it doesn’t disturb her.

STUCK IN THE DARK AT A HOTEL?
Don’t you hate it when you have to stay in a hotel room over Shabbos? After dinner, you can’t go up to your room because the only light on is the one in the bathroom! Wouldn’t it be great to be able to relax in the room, read a bit with the light on, and then “turn it off” when you feel like going to bed?
SHABBOS GUEST ON THE PULL-OUT SOFA?
Lighting is a problem when you have a Shabbos guest sleeping on the pull-out sofa bed in the living room or den. When the timer on the overhead light goes off, wouldn’t it be great for the guest to be able to have a kosher light that they could read from and then “turn off” when they want?
It’s called KOSHERLAMP™ The patent-pending FADESHADE™ technology allows you to direct the light and set the brightness of your lamp with a simple twist of the shade.
You can even turn it “off” in accordance with the laws of Shabbat. When you want to go to sleep, the FADESHADE™ kosher lamp technology allows heat to escape safely while blocking virtually all the light … without turning off the light switch! Approved by major Poskim.
The Classic KosherLamp™ is available in four stylish colors; black, white, bronze and silver.
WHO CAN USE A KOSHERLAMP™?
KosherLamps™ are perfect for children or adults sharing the same room but with different bedtimes. Unlike most lamps that give off light in all directions, the KosheLamp™ focuses light in one main direction. That way, the light can be directed away from others when they want to sleep.
See what some Jewish mothers had to say about the KosherLamp™ on "imamother.com"
Guests sleeping over on Shabbat will enjoy having the KosherLamp™ so they can adjust the light according to their own schedule. If they need to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, they can adjust the light and find their way.

New mothers can use the KosherLamp ™ to check on their sleeping infants and adjust the light so they don't wake up. When it's time for a feeding or diaper changing, the KosherLamp™ can be adjusted to illuminate the room. Once the baby is ready to go back to sleep, the light can be dimmed quickly and easily.
People who travel by car and stay in a hotel over Shabbos can bring their KosherLamp™ with them. Having your own adjustable light at night makes the hotel stay more comfortable.
